It is not very often you can get close to these shy animals, we were lucky to find them one evening in the Southern Serengeti.

What a face. I love those eyes and amazing ears. I do think the image would have been stronger without the second fox in the background. That way, a different crop would have provided more room at the bottom. Regardless, great capture.

Hello Ken
Great to see this species and fortunate for you to capture!
too bad about the background of other fox. Would really enjoy seeing him with ears up and facing you!
Thanks for sharing

a real cutie Ken. Lovely evening light. Good to get a shot of one without shadows across the face too.
The out of focus head of the one behind is a bit distracting as it sits right betwen the ears of the subject but very nice none the less.

Love it, even with the other one behind. . Great light and wonderful detail. Definitely something we don't get to see too often and that makes it special in its own right.
OK, I'm picking up a pattern here. First the Hornbill and now this guy with the grumpy expression. Did you owe him money??

Thanks everybody for your comments. I agree that the 2nd OOF fox does not help here

Great subject. Ask the one in the background to move a little...

Love the expression on the subjects face. I agree about the fox in BG but what could you have done about it.
