Waimea Canyon, Kauai

The past few weeks Ive been going through my photos, now that Ive got a computer!
For my shot of the falls, I picked one with more sky. I don't think I have the concern about the green of the canyon as I did with the last time.

On the drive up toward Waimea Canyon, and Kokee state park, there were a few overlooks of this beautiful falls. The first few were full of people, and as we got higher up the mountain the clouds of the Napali coast were beginning take over. At last a quiet overlook! I had Ariel, my travel partner, pull over and I ran to see what I could make of this geological masterpiece.

The light gracing the Canyon was ever-changing, illuminating different features and crevices. I saw some good opportunities with the lighting and snapped a few photos and scurried off back to the car. Any tips or CC would appreciated, Im always trying to improve myself.

Thanks for viewing

Got some great light there! Bit too off to the left comp wise for me but that's about as green as it gets there!

Looks like Shangri-La! I see Aaron's point, but I think it's a pretty balanced comp overall. Great view Michael!

Looking at it now, I agree to there being a little to much openness to the left of the falls, thanks for the tip and kind words
