Shot this old abandoned farmstead last Saturday, a beautiful early spring morning in eastern Nebraska. Not cropped and B&W conversion in Silver Effects Pro.

Wow, amazing how it blends in so well with its surrounds. I'm always fascinated by old structures in the woods, wondering about the people who lived there and what their lives were like. The B&W suits this shot well I think and you brought out the myriad of tones in the siding. The tall grass, nearby trees, and open doorways certainly give a sense of abandonment. Would probably like to see the house a bit more to the right and perhaps back a little further. Thanks for sharing!

This old house looks like it's been abandoned for decades.
I like the weathered & completely 'over-grown' look..
Comp works for me, only suggestion would be to < the exposure level maybe say one stop?
Great entry John :toast:

Going b&w works very well here, John. The surroundings are sure doing a fine job of disguising this old house.

The B&W treatment, as well as the setting, help illustrate both symbolically and literally that this building is disappearing back into nature. Nice comp and good processing, John.
