Taken in Victoria last fall, this image immediately made me think of some lines from the Ron Hynes song, Sonny's Dream; "And he watches the sea from a room by the stairs, And the waves keep on rollin', they've done that for years".

Nice detail and tones in this, Carey. I might have moved a bit to the left so that the post didn't intersect with the window mullion. That would also give a bit more room on the left side of the image. You did a good job with the processing--nice dynamic range.

Thanks Preston, I agree this would have been better with the post centered between the mullions and I did try to do just that but it was a bit of a challenge. I had to take this from the small archway between this tiny room and one behind me. Moving forward wasn't an option as I was already at the widest focal length for the lens and back obviously would have included the archway in the frame. I did manage to get a shot with the post centered but it through other things out of whack.
