This pair of American white pelicans along with several dozen others were at a small lake quite close to where I live (within 20 miles) in southeastern Nebraska this last weekend. They did not seem to mind my presence at all.

I really love the perch. It is very cool. The whites look good. The shoreline at the top is a bit distracting, but there is not much you could have done. Nice capture.

Great interaction between these two, John, and I love the perch and balancing stump. I do think the far shoreline is in an unfortunate position. If this were mine, I might be tempted to replace it with a continuation of the water.

Really interesting how the perch frames the birds. Great capture.

Very cool capture John,
It has a feel of spring and that love is in the air, I also agree with Dennis's comments and suggestion.
The perch is fantastic and very well balanced by the stump. The water could easily be cloned to eliminate the upper shoreline to further improve an outstanding image. If left the way it is, some CCW rotation is needed.
Very Cool Capture Indeed . . .

Good job exposing those whites, great details there Jim.
Nice that you get the birds facing each other like this too..
Also like the interesting dead wood perch & textures, balanced comp as well.
If this was mine I'd come in a bit tighter, and then clone out the small remaining dark band up top.
Well done :toast:
PS: I see your repost now, oops
