These ibis are so beautiful, if you're lucky enough to catch the iridescent sheen of the various colours.

Well done, Sandy! You are absolutely right about the difficulty of getting the sheen. Good catch in the clear!

Nice job capturing the iridescence in the feathers Sandy. Nice pose with the leg lifted. If you have any room on the bottom I think I would add some room for the unseen leg. Very nice image.

Excellent job catching those iridescent colors, Sandy. I do wish you'd had a touch more room at the bottom. Superb detail.

Terrific - you've got a lot of nice color out of this bird with good soft light.

Nice job Sandy. The iridescence shows well and I think you have caught him coming into breeding color with the bright blues coming in around the facial area. The lighting looks a little flat so I would be tempted to bump the exposure up a bit in post. I think you have the room without risking any of the light tones and it would let us see into that beautiful body even better. :toast:

They are indeed, and the colors come out really nice here. Some more room on the bottom of the image would have been even better, since you seem to miss the virtual foot here . Other than that fine as posted Sandy ! Cheers, Hans

Really like the leg lift and great job on the exposure....the BG is unfortunate, but not a lot you can do about it.

The soft light seems to really bring out subtle colors of the plumage. Sweet environmental portrait Sandy!

Great job on those feathers. I too wish for a bit more room on the bottom, but great image nonetheless.

Sandy,
Looks like you had beautiful soft lighting which makes getting the sheen you got with this capture all the harder. Excellent job. Love the colors, the head angle and the raised foot. I really like the frame you chose as well.
Do you have any room at the bottom of this image? I would add just a hint of canvas as it looks like the foot supporting the bird might be chopped off. Nice Job Sandy. You had a great trip!
