Promise of Daffodils

I was at the daffodil glade at the arboretum on Saturday. A few of the daffodils had bloomed but many of them had not.

I like this scene even though the flowers aren't open yet. I'm interested to hear what other people think about it.

Canon 60D, f/11, 1/200 sec., ISO 400, 85 mm focal length

I like the concept and it's a nice scene, Barb, but it doesn't have very much punch for my taste. I think if you'd gotten a bit lower and had some budded daffodils in the foreground it might work better.

Thank you for the advice, Dennis. I think it's a good idea. Next time I shoot a scene like this I'll keep that in mind.

It's a nice enough shot and a classic composition of this type, but I think it would have worked better the flowers blooming around the tree trunk. :wavey:

Like the concept, Barb, and the contrasting textures of the bulbs and leaves is particularly nice. Maybe just a touch of colour with a few flowers open might be even better but I still like this as is.
