I am sorry I have not posted in a while. I have been immersed in some projects both personal and work related so something had to be put aside, and unfortunately it was my time on this forum. I've missed the community here. I finally got the chance to get out. So I went to shoot the eclipse.

Yeah, it's magic to me how they know to the second when eclipses happen, but then again I never was that good at algebra or the more complicated types of math.

I took my first photo of the eclipse night before last near midnight, so the moon that is at 12:00 is that shot. Then as you go clockwise each image shows a different phase of the eclipse. At the 6:00 position the moon is at the middle of the full eclipse phase. And, finally, at 11:00 it returns to full. This is obviously a composite of 12 different shots put into the clock face arrangement. A lot of fun, both shooting and assembling this one.

Love it!! Excellent idea and presentation. I'm always impressed with the number of innovative ways people think about to present their work. While the moon was very cool at full eclipse, I enjoy images that are something more creative than "just a shot" of the moon. This is great :toast:

An interesting and graphic depiction of the lunar eclipse. Somewhere in your background there lurks a teacher! :toast:

Neat!!! :toast: Seeing the transition is great. Since i was getting ready to travel the next day, AND it was cloudy where I was, I didn't even get to see any of the moon that night, so this is nice to see.
This doesn't happen very often, so you ought to hang this one on your wall. Good job!

This was a really neat idea with the arrangement, Morris. The phases all came out very nice and are an excellent representation of the overall cycle. Nice work as always......

p.s. don't feel bad about the algebra weakness, I had no use for it in school, however, I had to know it during my military training......UGH!.....
