Out doing a portrait Sunday and the neighbors had this bush in their front yard. I have no idea of the ID, but it was just covered in these blooms. Any help would be appreciated.
D7000, ISO 100, F 22, 1/100 sec, hand held.
I look forward to all suggestions and critique. Thanks.

Don't have the ID, Bob, I'm afraid, but I really like the all white effect ! The patches of dark give some depth to the image and accentuate the fulness of the blooms. Nicely spotted.

I think these are lilacs. We called them 'snowballs'. Do they smell like lilacs? That is what I think they are. I like your handling of the whites in the strong light. A nice pattern to fill the frame.

I think Nathan is probably right on the ID. We don't have lilacs in the deep South (too hot), but we do have White Hydrangeas, which look a lot like this. The leaf margins of White Lilacs however, are smooth. Hydrangeas have a dentate (toothed) margin. As for the photo, I like the detail and depth of the flower heads. Like so many group photos, there is no place within the frame for the eye to stop.

Gorgeous bunch of flowers Robert. Some difficult direct light. You have handled it well.

Your title pretty well covers it. This is a fine look at what looks like a white hydrangea to me. Definitely an explosion of white, nicely seen.
