Took this a few years back at Lake Allatoona in North GA where I lived for a while. Pretty simple shot. What I liked about it is its simplicity and colors. Super clear sky with reflection. Don't know if I'd change anything, maybe the horizon is slightly off level, but I can't tell for sure. I've tried adjusting it but doesn't look any better to me. Simple shot, but I think for what it is, it's pretty nice.

This has virtually no processing.
Captured as a RAW file, I brushed over a very small dust/water spot in the center that was on my lens. Made the slightest crop to get a sliver of the shore out of the bottom right. Converted to JPEG and resized to 1200px wide. No other adjustments.

Nikon D90, Nikkor 35 f/1.8, ISO 200, f/16, 3 sec., tripod.

A very colorful and extremely peaceful look to this scene, Alan. As you've stated, a simple shot but it's pretty "darn" nice.

What a lovely minimalist picture, Alan! Wonderful colors here and I also like where you placed the horizon. It looks pretty level to me. . .and I can be a bit obsessive about such things. What may be throwing you off a bit may be the angled wave line in the water. This image really gives off a calm feeling IMO. Sometimes simple is best!

Simple is GOOD! ... especially when you have such great colors and smooth texture. Excellent comp, too. I wouldn't change a thing.

This could easily be named "Tranquility", because that's the first thing I thought of. Would also qualify for a blue-themed challenge  . Nicely composed with the horizon on the upper third and silhouetted trees.

Simple but effective, Alan. It's all about the colors and blends in this shot.

Very clean, simple, and sweet shot, Alan. I would clone the bright light middle, upper left. Other than that really nice.
