Very nice image Thomas. Good interaction and poses. The background displays the adult nicely. It does not bother me that the tail is cut off. I have no idea how you got level with the nest for the shot? Dave

To answer Dave's comment. I cropped the image a little, so the chick was more visible. I got this straight on view, due to the fact that the nest is directly across the street from a parking garage, so It's a lucky spot.

Nice details, POV, and I like the dual profile views.. It helps to emphasize the size difference in a dramatic way Thomas.
Great interaction & post!:toast:

The interaction, the lighting, and the level view with the nest here are all spectacular! There is some kind of pattern going on in the bg...was this shot through a screen or window? Sharon

What a fantastic shot! Looks like they are having a "discussion" about something important, both talking at once. Mom is probably saying, "I already served breakfast." Really nice lighting and background as well.

To answer Sharon's question about the background, it's a wall from a building. This nest is in an urban area, there's only one angle that has trees in the background, and to get the chick, I couldn't get the trees.

Really pleasing composition here, balancing the adult and chick. I agree with David's sentiment about the tail being cut off. In fact, it's almost a "No Man's Land" crop, where the image may be improved with either the full body being included, or with a slightly tighter crop from the right.

Thanks for answering my question, Thomas. This is such a nice Mother's Day image....how special to find something so nice in an urban area! Sharon

An attitude lesson? Love the interaction! I can barely make out some kind of pattern in the BG. What is that?

Wonderful shot of the little guy waiting for his meal from big daddy. I might consider cloning out that bright heavy stick on the left side.

Thomas,
What a neat image. The interaction is pretty funny. I do see the vertical and horizontal bands in the background but it's only slightly distracting. I wish the head of the baby did not have the shadow of the adult partially blocking it's face. The tail being cropped off does not bother me at all. Lovely image Thomas.
