The log moved….
I took fellow NPN member Zack Clothier to this famous little falls in the Columbia Gorge a couple of weekends ago.
Not quite full on foliage yet and the log has washed downstream.
Still as mossy and green as ever.

Lots to explore in this scene. While it is admittedly busy the flow of the stream in the composition makes it work for me. The vibrant greens are exceptional.

Lovely. The white lace-like stream looks so clean and refreshing against the vibrant greens. Enchanting!

Nothing to not like about this one Dan. I might burn in the v area above the falls ever so slightly in mid tones ~ 5%.

Dan, You really did a nice job with this capture. I like your comp and enjoy the flow of water here. The lush greens feel wonderful and inviting. Very nicely done!

The greens here are awesome, Dan, and the stream creates a great sense of depth. I like the log across the stream and where it's positioned, it makes a gentle counterpoint to the falls. As a very minor nit, the top of the falls looks like it may be blown, well worth toning down slightly. I'd print and hang this one in a heart beat.

There are two falls that I'm dying to see in the gorge, this and the weeping wall in eagle creek. I haven't a clue of where these gems are, and images like this just make me jealous

Great shot Dan! Love the greens and the water flow.

Nice take from here Dan, I like the pulled back comp showing more of the surroundings. The stream creates a perfect lead in to the waterfall, which is also nicely placed in the scene. I managed to get a few keepers that day but haven't really had the time to go through them yet. I ended up going back about a week later and shot for a few hours, got some nice light that day as well. I just posted my version from that second trip here.
