The Embrace

Hi all.

There will certainly be more gerberas to come, but for now I have some osteospermums to post.

These blooms were growing this way when I bought the plants - so I thought that I should get some photos of the blooms embracing each other.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Great woven petals and POF. Really well taken and displayed.

This is one of the best of these due to the dual-blooms …both with DOF that is ideal…enjoy seeing the sharpness in the centers and the weave of the petals …I also think the tight crop is wise…filling up the frame with no wasted space. *+*+*+

Perfect dof and presentation Nathan. The only thing I might consider doing would be plucking the oof petal that blocks the view of the left flower's center. Might look to strange then but the blur there bothers me - mostly because of the perfect dof otherwise.

Nathan - I can see the X Factor here

You pulled off the two bloom composition so nicely at f/8. Pat makes a good point about the petal merging with the center of the bloom on the left but I did not notice it initially. So it works for me I guess. May be a wider aperture (without sacrificing anything else, and I know its a tall order) might have melted that errant petal a bit more.

Nathan: Aptly titled and a superb comp and capture. I especially like your plane of focus. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

Very nice close up, excellent light & colors, superb details. I like the arrangement in very tight crop. Well done Nathan.
