Rain Forest Intimate

Found this kicking around on my hard drive and decided to give it a go. Small streams appear after heavy rains so I followed this one up the mountain till I found this scene. Heavy rain and fog broke with some light for a few minutes and gave me a bit of light to work with even though this area was quite dark. Moss every where even in the water.

All C&C greatly appreciated.

This is really nice, Bill. I love the little stream running under those electric green logs. The leaves are a real bonus. This place is lush and the large view is a real visual treat. :toast:

Very nice Bill, love the moss covered logs along with the rugged look to the landscape. Beautifully seen and presented.

Beautifully presentation Bill. I really like the darkness and the mood in this. I also particularly like the composition and the sliver of light at the top. No suggestions on my part.

Excellent comp Bill, the water leads you right through this.
The Red leaves are really nice, an underrated fall element in the Northwest forests.

Bill, this looks like a sweet location. Makes me want to get back to the Blue Range Primitive Area in Eastern AZ where one can follow random streams up the mountain and fine scenes like this.

I might suggest opening up the shadowed areas a bit. I agree with keeping the scene dark as a whole, but I don't think you should leave the shadows in the ULC and LRC so blocked out- they could use some detail to balance the tones.

Really great lines and color. Love those leaves as well. May not have been possible, but I'd enjoy seeing the foreground stream at a little more of an angle rather than exiting straight down. Still, congrats on a beautiful image. :toast:

Very nice one, Bill. A fine image as always from your well forested neck of the woods.
Looks like a tough spot to work in with all the very green and slippery moss. This comp works very nicely for me. A lot to look at here and that's how nature is out there. Nicely done.

Bill, the greens are lovely and those two moss covered logs angling across are real attention grabbers, then the stream leads into the distance. Very well done.
