Sprague Lake

We spent Memorial Day Weekend in Rocky Mountain National Park. It rained a fair amount, but that did not dampen our weekend (pun intended). We hiked several trails and took a few images. The only morning that was reasonably nice for sunrise was Monday morning. No nice fluffy clouds and the eastern sky had high thin clouds to defuse the light instead of give the nice warm glow. It was very calm so there was a nice reflection. Great weekend though. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

Nicely processed, and a very attractive image. I'm not crazy about the bottom foreground rock, but that's just personal. I would zapp out that white spot in the rock, though.

This image just screams 'spring time in the Rockies'. Very nice mood. I do rather wish the fg rock was not cut off. I really like the clouds streaking through the water. Nice work

Beautiful sky and reflection Richard and the large version shows better shadow detail. I agree about the fore ground rock especially the white mark. Very nice job on this though.

The clouds steaming thru the image really make this work well, Richard. Very nice reflection scene.

Richard, I love what the clouds and reflections did for this scene. Such a calming image! I like the smaller rock very much in the comp but might prefer it without the larger foreground one, but the image does work fine as is too.

Great reflection - I also really like the long lines from the high clouds. As others have noted, I'd prefer a comp without the larger foreground rock, but that might not have been possible. :toast:

Beautiful scene Richard. We nearly went to the park over the weekend but changed our plans at the last minute.

I guess I'd also vote to remove the front rock but like the rest of the image very much.
