Sorry forgot Its a female Black bird .After some of the exotic stuff on here she looks a bit dull I suppose. Still an attractive bird though and not easy at the pools. Very nervous. This was about the last one before my woodland pool flooded out and the hide again last week.

Well done, John. So what bird is this? I like the soft lighting and sharpness. :toast:

Nice, John. She stands out well from the bg and you got a great head turn.

I like the subdued colors of the bird and overall image. American viewers should note that the European Blackbird is a thrush and shows some characteristics of the American Robin (another thrush).

No birds are dull, John. Some are just more colorful than others.

A very nice job on this thrush, interrupted in his bath. The low angle makes the shot for me.

You know...I just thought about something today on my drive out to see my Mother. The Beatle's song "Blackbird" has a bird singing in it, and it does not sound anything like our American RW Blackbird, but more like a Robin. This explains a lot! Sharon
