This Elephant Calf gets a little close to Mum, whilst crossing the Mwagusi River in Ruaha National Park Tanzania.
We stayed at the best camp in the park Kwihala, unfortunately it has since been taken over by one of the "posh" groups Asilia and for exactly the same product you will now be asked to pay almost DOUBLE. That is progress or what I call robbery!

I like this one a lot Ken. The water spots on the calf and his nervous look make this for me. The texture on mom is also great. Maybe even a tighter crop on the little guy would work. Well done.

Great image, Ken! I think I would like a tighter crop too or the mother not cropped at all. :wavey:

Awesome capture - I kind of like that the adult is not shown completely - lighting is a bit harsh, would be interested in seeing this in B&W

Thanks everybody, I really think that the IQ would not stand too much more cropping, I was a long way away! I also do not have a complete Mum

The alert expression of the baby facing mom's tail is great!

Lovely documentation of the close relationship of a calf and its mother, Ken! :toast:

Very nicely presented, the tail appears to be the pulling force.
