The Colors Of Spring

by Joseph Campisi

Taken a week ago at the lupine fields at the Weyerhauser campus up the road from my place.

The sky came together nicely a little while after sunset to compliment the explosion of color displayed by the lupines. Glad I stuck around!

Well done, Joseph. I like the sense of light, and the color has nice warmth.

Beautiful color in this Joe. Don't think you could ask for a better sky for this foreground. Gorgeous. No suggestions on my part.

Great display and sky. I like the spikes intruding into the sky to balance the trees doing the same on the left. The colors compliment one another. 'Tis the season!

Nice exposure and comp, Joe. The clouds and lupines compliment each other well in color.

Wow, what a great collection of lupines matched so well with the hints of pink in the sky. Congrats on waiting after sunset to let the sky colors develop.

I like this much better than your last lupine post, Joe. It was good, but this is way good. No nits at all from me. Excellent.

Joe, Looking at your large version just makes me wish I was there! Beautiful as is but I would love seeing this on a dark or black background! Bet it would really shine then. Very nice!..

Splendid field of lupine Joe! I love the color variation. There's a slight bit of haloing around the trees, and I'd soften the Clarity (aka HIRALOAM sharpening or Local Contrast Enhancement). (I find a pleasing way to reduce this is to use just a tiny bit of glow; I'll send you an e-mail with what I mean.)

Really like how you have placed the lupines completely across the foreground in your composition, Joe, like an explosion of color. Beautifully done.
