A small, ground-loving blue anemone shot into the early morning sun with some very deep shadows in the bg.

Beautifully presented. Love the vignetting effect, plus the totally OOF background. Nice processing.
Only nit is I'm not crazy about the bent petal, especially that little doohickey sticking out behind it. Otherwise, a very appealing image.

Don't need 3-D glasses for this... the glowing blurred b/g is dreamy and elevates the flower nicely. Well done!

Ian - In a good way the shadows and the lighted areas are playing magic on my eyes as to what perspective I am actually seeing. I love the lighted petals and the innards throwing shadows on them. Just wish that one offending petal did not turn towards the viewer.

I like the back lighting a lot and your use of light and dark area in the image.

Shoot, I don't even care about the "offending petal"; this is about as good as it gets!

Wonderful back light and I like pedal shadows as well. I might be inclined to make this a vertical but a fine image as is. Very creative approach, well seen.

Nice purples! I think this would , also, look great as a vertical pano. In any case, I would have cropped closer on both sides...I wouldn't include the burned out green on the bottom right.

Ian, I love all of this beautiful photo: the transparencies in the back lit petals, the shades, the original angle and composition. Many bravo!
Take care.

Lovely image Ian! Very elegant composition and wonderful light. Even with the backlight, you managed to get a soft background. Wonderful work!
