Just off to Kenya and Uganda, and looked up my old images from my only previous visit to Kenya when I went to the Mara with Andy Rouse in 2007.
Here is one some of you may have seen before as it was the very first Wildlife Image of the Year on BPN back in 2008, that was back in the days of decent moderators and great contributors.

EOS 1D MkIIn
500mm F4
F7.1
ISO 400
1/500

Hey Ken,

In the days of "decent moderators" and "great contributors"? Oh boy...can't believe you actually said that...you're not exempting many folks who will be viewing this image from feeling justifiably insulted. Oh well...if that's how how you feel, that's how you feel.

On the image: Nicely done - technically sound and with interesting subject matter. Not over-saturated. My preference would be to have the subjects shifted a little to the left in the frame, but pretty darn good for 2008

Cheers...

An incredible shot, Ken. Very intimate and the perfect setting.... I wonder if some here are confusing BPN with NPN? :toast:

I agree with Charlie van Tassel. This is not a website for bitterness.

Love this image Ken, the curled up tail is great, I agree with Brad that a touch left compositionally may have made this even better, but that's quibbling as it's really a great image. :toast:

One fine shot Ken. Great moment captured but do agree that it should been centered in the frame. :toast:
