Trying to post some variety...spot the impala!
Where else but Mana Pools??

This is a pano-stitch comprised of 3 images shot at 500mm...wish I'd stopped down to f8 but the impala only stood like this for a few seconds!

This one needs to be seen larger than what I can show here...

Techs:
Nikon D3s
Nikkor 500mm f4 VR-II
f5.6 | 1/400 SS | ISO-1250

Lovely light and shadows. You have done an excellent job of portraying both the warm serene beauty of the treescape and the fleeting beauty of the impala. A fine work of art, Morkel! :toast:

Hey Morkel,

Very nicely done, especially in terms of balancing out the exposure. And the size of that impala in the frame makes me think those are very large trees! I like how you kept all traces of the sky out of the frame. Unfortunately this really does need to be seen larger to fully appreciate (as you say), our online world just doesn't do justice to good 'scapes. Time for a 4k monitor?

Cheers...

Two thumbs up, Morkel. Mano Pools does not disappoint, either! I like the composition you found with the angling trees.

This is becoming a trademark Morkel shot, Morkel! I love the wildebeest image on the BBC diary, too!
