Caper flowers are back

On the Roman walls in my town, Rimini, the Caper are in bloom this year again.

At dwan, a Roman brick as background; I imagine a musical scale.

Delicate and pure… your b/g sets this apart from others… peach with a hint of pink and white supports the comp. Well done!

Exquisitely delicate touch, Gigi, with wonderful use of the dawn light.! The anthers are indeed like musical notations - lovely !!

Excellent Gigi! Subtle colors and suitably complimentary background. Really shows the delicate nature of the flower.
Very nicely done!

Wonderful overall composition and close up image. I like the stamen pattern and complimentary background colors, way to go.

The pastel colors and shallow DOF, the gradient background—perfect, Gigi! :toast:

A minor correction in the critiques—colors that are opposite each other on a color wheel are complementary, not complimentary. The complement here is lavender opposite yellow/orange (orange sherbet?).

Gigi:

This image really sings!!!

Fabulous with lots of contrasting elements: sharp vs oof anthers, complementary color, beautiful light and graduating color in the bg.

I love the coloring and I love the feel of the photo. Since I am not familiar with the flower, I feel like I could use just a little more implied information from the photo, maybe a slight bit more definition.

Gigi - I remember a similar photo you shared last year. I like the fantastic selective focus on the stigma with good frontal focus on the anthers in the front.

The two light shades in the background prevent any strong gradient there. Good work

To Maureen Ravnik.
You can see more detailed flowers of Caper in my Galery: fourth line: 'A soft Caper flower' and tenth line: 'A Caper before dawn'.
Thanks for your interest in the photo and the flower.
