There are so many varieties of the bellflowers ( Campanulas ) I am not sure exactly which this is. This shot is of one on a tall plant with clusters of flowers.

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200m lens @ 200mm, 1/800 sec @ f 6.3, ISO 400.

Ian, a beautiful photo of this simple but nice flower. I love also the 'hand in hand' with the second flower.
Take care.

I like the classic comp focusing on the single flower, and contrasting (green and purple) color wash, Ian. The light is a bit harsh, but certainly good for bringing out the nice detail in the flower. Well done.

Ian:

Beautifully taken. Like the purple wash in the lower part fading into the flower. I wish the tip of the 4 o'clock petal is not partial covered in shade and disrupting the symmetry of the flower.

Nice color and detail. The highlights in the bell of the flower could profitably be toned down a smidgen.

Fine look at this lovely flower, Ian. The wash of purple at the bottom adds a nice touch of mystery.
