November Frost
This is a picture I made in the early part of last November. It was a cool night with frost and I was pretty sure we would have some fog to go with it. I headed out for Smith Lake in the dark with hopes of finding something in the early light. The foreground water is Smith Lake and the fog is actually over the Wisconsin River in the background. The low lying grass had lots of frost which added to the scene for me. It was a very peaceful morning before our long and cold winter set in. Thanks for any thoughts. Larger version included.

Comments
22 commentsI'm glad you could place the image to include the two reflective trees in their entirety in the water. The striking color scheme here along with the lake water gives the appearance of our eastern sierra Owens valley look. An excellent rendition of this Wisconsin River area.
Paul, Yes, I wish you could have some of that frost now too. Always appreciate your comments. Thanks, Nick

Colors and sharpness are sweet.
I might remove the small harsh ripple lines between the tree reflections?
