Here's another photo from my sunset shoot in Gonubie, East London, South Africa over Easter.

Again - single exposure, LOVE the D800 dynamic range...

Techs:
Nikon D800
Nikkor 14-24mm f2.8 @ 14mm
f10 | 3sec | ISO-50

That is an impressive dynamic range for a single exposure! Was it double RAW processed?

I love the composition. Lots to look at. The foreground is very prominent but the sky has enough drama to provide the necessary balance. All of the lines and textures are organized very well throughout the image - It strikes me as a very well thought out composition. Nice choice of shutter speed, too. The softness of the water contrasts well with the sharp detail throughout the rest of the shot.

My only suggestion would be to darken the wispy clouds in the brightest section of sky.

Very nice B/W image, Morkel. Love the texture of the rock fingers and the softness of the water. My only suggestion would be to clone or crop what appears to be some be some buildings on the far right horizon line. Great single exposure. :toast:

Love the drama and energy in this Morkel. Also great textures in the rocks and I like the water treatment. Very fine composition as well. I like the image a lot.

Beautiful, I like the composition with the rock in foreground, it drives the eyes directly in the horizon line.
