Leap of Faith

I took a 'leap of faith' & posted this. It was overcast this morning, and controlling the flash gave me fits. Normally I would attempt this type of shot using my 300mm prime with the 1.4x extension, and start at 1/1000th second >
F/9, 1/800th, ISO 640, 1D M3, Sigma 150mm f/2.8 with monopod & fill.

Great capture the size notwithstanding, Howard. The web presentation is fine. You nailed focus where it counted. The image has a storybook look. :toast:

Fine catch, Howard, with some awesome timing. The bf sure does look like it's jumping (not flying) between the two blooms. The lighting looks great to me.

Great catch, Howard, giving a wonderful sense of motion ! Just a touch more in focus would have been even better but that's asking for the moon, I guess; as Scott has said, the focus is there where it matters most.
