Waterlilies

A grouping of 3 that I found at the Chicago Botanical Gardens. Thankfully the cloud cover was blocking the sunlight on and off giving a few seconds of opportunity to use the overcast light.

Shot through the rails on the walking platforms as a result of which it may appear a wee bit tight in the frame.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Gloriosa Lily and let me know what you think of this one.

Well composed and captured threesome, Ram. The beauty of the lilies really comes through in the soft light, and the water drops are a nice touch. :toast:

Ram:

Really beautiful. Although similar, each lily has a different personality and orientation. Good use of cloud diffuser. :toast:

Lovely light and color, attractive grouping that seems to 'glow'.
The 'wee tight' thing doesn't bother me at all, since the lilies look so darn good
Very nice, have a great weekend Ram! :toast: :toast:

Great cluster of three blooms, Ram. Good that you caught the soft yellow, it's really easy to lose that when the sun is shining. The water drops are a fine addition.

Good processing and composition. Not to tight to me, but others may feel differently. Excellent DOF, with good sharp focus, front to back.

Beautiful capture. When shooting in these public gardens it is so difficult to control the lighting, angle, and surroundings…you did a great job with this.

Very beautiful. The comp doesn't feel too tight IMO. It's hard to shoot in public gardens so you definitely made the best of it. The composition of the 3 blooms is just lovely, and you knew when to take advantage of the natural diffuser. The water drops definitely add a lot and make them feel cool and fresh.

A very elegant, delicate and pictorial image as full of light and with very low contrast. I love the image Ram.
Take care.

Love the creamy yellows of the petals, Ram, and the diagonal disposition of the flowers in the frame, with the leaves coming in from the corners. Very nicely composed.
