Dahlia Classic

Sony A700
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, .8 secs @ f22

Been going through some of my spring files that I have held pending hotter weather and less shooting, which is what we have in Houston now. This was one of the first blooms on this dahlia which has continued to produce through the summer. All comments welcome. >=))>

I can't argue with this, Bill. Great color and detail, classic comp. Your 200mm really shines! :toast:

Bill - Superb off center composition !!. Sometimes I feel camera does not capture all the brilliance in the colors of a Dahlia. Very well captured !! :toast:

I like the big and bold … mash-up into the entire frame … Perhaps a bit over the top description, but, there is nothing sublime with this and it rings true to me.

Very nice, Bill. Love the bold colors. Good, classic comp. Looks like you have a party crasher hiding just off dead center at 9:00.

Fluorescent and beautiful colors, Bill. The yellow center among the blue little petals is a present for us.
Cheers.
