Chipmunk Calisthenics

I photographed this Chipmunk last month near Whistler, BC. It was scratching and grooming itself, the result ended up looking like it was doing stretching exercises. I think this is a Townsend's Chipmunk but not certain, so if there are any experts out there, let me know what you think.

That, is both hilarious and cool!

It's actually a great shot with excellent comp and techs (of course), but it's certainly the humorous pose you caught (froze) him in that takes the cake.

Really fun image that happens to be a great wildlife shot as well.

Reminds me of a cartoon character. Really nice capture. Whimsical, to say the least.

Ha! It looks like he's practicing for Teenaged Mutant Ninja Chipmunks! I can't believe you got this pose! What was he doing?!

It's a great picture and is super sharp and I like the soft background and cool bark!

Terrific action pose , perfect point of view and flawless exposure and processing make this a "dandy." In a perfect world I would have wished for him to not sit on a log with an old saw cut, but it is of course the real world he (and we) live in.
