Nice detail and head turn, John. It does look a bit the worse for the contest, but still hanging in there.

This is a really cool picture! I really like his perch and all the feather detail. The dark background is nice, too.
I love blue jays but almost NEVER see them. I've never seen one in Alberta but I know they are around sometimes. I hope I get a picture of one soon because I really like them and when I have seen them on trips they never stuck around for pictures.
