Normally when I go to the Sugar Grove Nature Center, I have a camera set, ready to go. This time I did not, in fact had a 18-135 lens on the camera in the bag, when I stopped on a bridge and spotted this doe and fawn standing in the shallow creek water, in the shade, about 7PM. There was no traffic, so I chanced a few shots as the deer showed no alarm. Eventually a car came and the deer and I left the area. Not a great photo, but a fun time. In 12 years it is only the second time I have seen deer in this creek.

I disagree with you entirely. It IS a great photo. Looks like a painting. The whole scene is absolutely beautiful. Well done.

To me this is lovely! Rich color, even light lush surroundings and beautiful subjects. In a perfect world I would have wanted the fawn a body width to the right, but you earned a keeper.
