Spider web

Following Ram's footsteps just before mowing the lawn this weekend spotted the spiderweb with a few drops of water on the grass and wanted to take a shot of the same. Was able to take a few quick shots when I spotted the spider in there, and then it vanished, not before I could take a couple of shots  ...

a long way to go but here are the specs ..focus stack of two pictures with canon 5D Mk II, 100mm macro, 1/60, F11 at ISO 1250.

Thanks for your critiques and comments as always.

Love the little starburst in the dew drops, Soubhik. The OOF grass is a little distracting, but a pretty cool spider image.

Gary - these water drops are from the sprinklers, not due drops. Agree with the oof grass blade but was not able to crop it without cropping the spider or the starburst.

You got the spider and many of the drops nice and clear. Views like this are very challenging because you have to include lots of structure in the "background" since the web is in the grass. The only way I could see to improve on this view is to not have the oof blades of grass. That might be possible from a different angle with a lot more images in your stack or by finding another web and spider. The star burst angle will change with the sun, so it shows up at a different angle depending on the time of day.

It's a good image, Soubhik, showing the spider in an interesting environment. The tiny sunstars are cool, but the oof grass blade detracts from the image. I would either crop the very top to eliminate the blown highlight or else clone in more grass blade over that area. :wavey:

Soubhik, This is a tough situation with an interesting subject. Background is what it is, so let me enjoy the water drops, starburst, refractions and of course the spider.
