Hibiscus

Hibiscus taken in early morning after a gentle rain. Single image, D600, 150 macro, f29, iso 400, 1/4 sec, cpl, tripod. PP note: I pushed the contrast substantially in pp because I liked the way it deepened the colors and shadows. Thoughts? Thanks for looking. Comments, suggestions, and questions welcome. :wavey:

Scott: Love the deep color of this variety and the classic comp. Classy shot. >=))>

Scott - Wow   --> what an amazing shade of red ? I usually do something like this using selective color and adding black to the red.

The few water drops in the RLC, RUC also add much to this shot.

This feels almost electric. Really intense in a good way. Well done, Scott.

A beautiful flower well processed. I can't argue with the quality, but this would be where I would go for a focus stack,

Thanks, Phil, but to quote Howard with regard to focus stacking:

"I keep thinking it's just too much like work, and I'm a lazy photographer."

Could not have said it better.

Works for me Scott. The lines and shades are perfect. I love the few water droplets. Did you have to clone out lots of pollen specks? That is my least favorite thing about shooting dark flowers.
