Another image from my recent backpacking trip in Denali State Park. In the foreground is a small alpine lake on Kesugi Ridge. I believe this was taken shortly before the image in my last post. Denali is hidden from view by the cloud cover and would be in the upper right part of the image if visible. I would like to come back to this location when there are clearer views of Denali, although I enjoyed the atmosphere provided by the clouds moving through. As usual, best viewed large.

The cloud cover provides some really nice atmosphere to this wilderness scene, Jon. The tones and textures are outstanding. Nicely done.

Jon, a very different look from Denali. I know the area and I could not have guessed the site. Making for an interesting view from this POV and weather conditions. I do like the B&W as a result of the cloud cover and general visibility.

To think I flew in these conditions and worse during my time up there....

I really like all the different tones and textures, especially in the mountains and the water. The softness of the clouds adds some fine contrast to all the sharp ridges. I do wonder about cropping this about 1/4 - 1/3 down from the top since the top section of cloud is fairly uniform.

Great shot - the monolithic boulders (which you emphasized by darkening) in the mid-ground make it for me.

Nice mood to this Jon and very nice tones also.I agree with Mark about a crop from the top to bring focus on the mountain more. Having lived in the Yukon for a long time in the past this brings back good memories. Nice job on this.
