One of the sunflowers that was accidentally planted by our resident goldfinches. We let them grow, flower, and set seed to renew the cycle. K5 IIs, 300mm f4; Iso 800, f6.3 at 1/100 sec. LR yellow saturation, shadow slider, and curves. CS5, crop for composition, Topaz Detail, and smart sharpen......................Jim

Very nicely done, Jim. I especially like the sharp centre and the bud growing up behind the flower - all beautifully composed. Might just take some of the leaf highlights down a touch further but lovely as is on a nice, variegated bg.

Excellent look at this sunflower, Jim. The flower and bud stand out nicely are are well positioned in the frame. The textured background blends perfectly with the flower stems and leaves.

Jim - Very nicely done. The yellows may be slightly over but they suit the sunflower all the time.
