I found these Western Blue Flag Iris (Iris missouriensis) growing in a wet meadow in Rocky Mountain National Park last June. (5D3, 100mm macro IS, f/9, 1/320s, iso 200, tripod)

A neat looking pair here, Mark. I like how you've used the shortened DOF on this group and it keeps us focused on the subject for sure. In concert with that idea I might try to clone / blend out / or content aware that brown bush? just there in the BG area. No big deal but I think it would stop any lost concentration on the subjects up front. Just a thought.
Love the colors here overall, works wonderfully IMO.

I'll take this, brown blob and all. Very well balanced comp!

Mark - Very special. I like how the two mirror each other so nicely in every respect.

Very nice find and image of these iris, Mark, even better given their wild setting. Good job with the dof and isolating the pair from the nice, contrasting bg.

Much harder to pull out a good comp in a wild/natural setting, I like this Mark.
Nice light and natural colors, great use of f/9 :toast:

Mark: I once found a similar bunch in RMNP. Were you in Moraine Park? I love finding beauties like this in the wild and this is a great capture. Good photography. >=))>

Bill, this was shortly past the Beaver Meadows entrance. There was an extensive field of these, so the challenge was finding some flowers that I could isolate.

Mark, I love this image specially for the blue and yellow main contrasting colors. I would call the flower Iris missoniensis because it has petal designs and colors Missoni like.
Cheers.
