Is what this is I believe. Shot at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, WI. The perch is Russian Sage I think.

Before I could get adventurous for more compositions, my young and very tired daughter walked briskly asking me if we could head back home and that was the end of the meeting between the Dragonfly and Me

Very delicate and really lovely, Ram. I do like the detail, but the background and the perch could almost stand on their own. Tech specs? :toast:

Beautiful, Ram. My kind of macro shot. By that, I mean a very attractive image which includes insect macro. Excellent detail, a great pose and perch, and a dreamy lavender bg. :toast:

You've got excellent details in the df, Ram and it's great how the flower matches so well with the background (more sage seems likely). Funny how young daughter's get adamant at times, I remember them well.

Hi Ram,

I have not had much luck finding saddlebags perched within shooting distance. Nice and sharp, although I'd like a little more depth of field. Background and perch are perfect so the depth of field sacrifice was worth it :toast: .........................................Jim

Wonderful sharpness, Ram and a lovely, delicate colour scheme which shows up the dragonfly to perfection. Brief perhaps but a thoroughly worthwhile encounter !
