One Golden Minute + Repost
by Joseph Campisi
This past weekend I was lucky enough to see Dave Matthews at the Gorge amphitheater in eastern Washington. Dave put on some awesome shows, with both acoustic and electric sets. And at the best venue you'll ever see a show at! The amphitheater sits right on the basalt cliffs of the canyon where the Columbia River winds through. Highly recommended!
I didn't go for photography, but I took my camera anyway of course. This shot was taken from my campground. It was near sunset, and the sun broke through some cloud cover just long enough to line the hills and cliffs with this beautiful soft golden light. It only lasted for a minute, but it certainly was a glorious minute! My compositional choices were limited, due to there being houses on the right of me, but I was able to zoom in far enough to capture this scene. Thanks for looking.

Maybe a touch more contrast?......
And Gary, I wish they did! They have a killer 18 minute version on youtube from the 2011 Gorge shows with Warren Haynes and Tim Reynolds shredding!
Lovely light and a nice composition. I prefer the slightly sharpened repost to the original and the one with the increased contrast. You did a good job handling the light, here.
