Trinity Lake - or not

Jim's son has owned a cabin on "Lakefront" property on Trinity Lake in the Trinity Alps in Northern California for many years. The severe California drought the last several years has decimated the lake, as well as all the local businesses associated with tourists, fishing, campgrounds, winery visitors, etc.
The main arm of the lake still has a little water, but all other arms of the lake are bone dry.
If we get a very large amount of rain this and the next several winters(very unlikely) the lake may start to recover, but many think it is permanently gone.

More on the severe drought here, if people are interested:

Yikes, hard to believe that the lake was once full up to the water line.

I wonder if you could have shot from a much lower angle if you would have a photo with more impact? It is a sad story, and I do hope the weather will change quickly and water levels will start to reverse the downward trend. Thanks for sharing.
