"Denali Highway Susitna River Xing"

Denali Highway, Alaska at the Susitna River crossing. It was pouring rain on one side of the river and the sun was breaking through the storm clouds on the other side.

Looks like a bunch of folks were caravaning. That is quite a storm! I really like how this is subtly layered, Gary.

The fall colors in the sunlit regions look great and sure do set off a contrast with the stormy darkness in the distance. Very dramatic, Gary.

Gary, I just love the mood that comes from sunny areas offset against dark and stormy skies and you've sure captured that drama nicely. The fall colours makes this one extra special - I like it a lot :toast:

Phil; This was taken in September which is caribou hunting season. There were literally hundreds of hunters throughout the drive through the Denali Highway.
