The cosmos have, on the whole, not been so prolific here this year. This is a shot from a year ago.

Ian: Love the lighting and your DOF choice. I'm not 100% sold on the bud. I like that it is OOF but the sheen on it distracts a bit.>=))>

Very nice, Ian. The bg works well with the nice subject. Hope for more prolific cosmos bloom next year. It's been years since we had any blooming in our local gardens, and I miss shooting them.

A cosmos…with the blurred b/g and near perfect specimen! Nicely done! Looks like the underside view of a parachute drifting down.

I like the downward looking view, and the square frame Ian. I also like the surrounding vegetation. I do wish that there was a bit more vibrancy to the bloom.

Ian - Other than the feel of the flower being slightly worn out in terms of color, this is just a superb take. You have your way with Cosmos for sure.
