Our trip to Grand Teton two weeks back was a washout - literally. It was raining for most of the two days with heavy clouds and fog.

Here's my attempt at making lemonade out of lemons. This was when the clouds/fog rolled out of the mountains and just before it reached ground level. I liked the mood with the low clouds.

(wet) 100mm, ISO200, 1/15s@F13, -1/3Ev, CPL, tripod/cable release

Look forward to your thoughts on this image.

I like this a lot Govind. I think my inclination would have been to crop more from the top but I prefer what you've done here. For what it's worth this is pretty much the same weather we saw except for the last afternoon we were there. Love the mood of this. Nice lemonade.

I like the layers in the image. The colors in the trees really stand out from the dreary background. The only thing I might change is a little less cloud at the top, but this works. I was there for a workshop, only it was evidently after you, because most of the leaves were gone from the trees. We did have a day and a half of sun at the end of the time we were there. The first day we were out shooting with one of the instructors he said that he was glad that it was like this because i makes us work harder to find good images, when it is nice weather it is to easy.

Very nice, Govind. I really like the layered look and the color really pops against the muted tones in the rest of the scene. Like Richard, I might prefer a little less cloud, but real nice lemon work.

You did make lemonade. I think a pano crop from the top will put the emphasis on the forest and foreground. The layered composition works well.

Govind, This is very nice and I think you did a great job with it. I like the misty mood very much and how the tree colors stand out. I also like the more pano look with some of the clouds cropped off.

Thank you all for your suggestions. The clouds at the park were overpowering and one of my points of focus. On second thoughts it looks too dominant as you all noted. Here's a pano version - interested to know if this works better.
