Cedar Intimate

Nothing too special but I liked the side light and depth to this scene. Heavy rain broke for just a minute to throw some nice light on the scene. Cropped off branch ends because of distracting details on that side.

Nikon D7000
No data for some reason.
2 images for DOF.
Probably Sigma 10-20 at 10mm

All C&C greatly appreciated.

Wonderful fall shot, with the tree leading one's eyes all the way to the back. The leaves are amazing in their color, with the rain probably giving them lots of saturation. Lovely.

This is beautiful Bill. Rich colors and full saturation (but not overly saturated). Very nice.

The fallen trees draw me in Bill and the great colors and textures keep me there. Beautiful image. No suggestions.

Beautiful scene, Bill. I might have wanted a bit more on the bottom so that the complete swirl of that branch/root was visible but that is a very minor nit.

I really like the color and depth here, Bill! Amazing find in the forest. I wonder if you have any other comps with the tree in a less vertical position. It's pretty cool as is, but wonder if you found some other shapes with the ultra wide angle that may take more shape.

Well composed. Beautiful serene (and wet) PNW fall scene.

Wet and lovely Bill, the fallen Cedar really catches my eye in a good way, love to photograph dead wood. Beautiful comp, color and detail. Excellent work.

Terrific fall color that looks realistic.
I like the texture in the trunks a lot.
A step forward to eliminate the tree on the right would also have been interesting.

Unique and interesting perspective, Bill. Excellent use of the long leading lines, and the orange leaves really pop.

Oh man, the leading line of the fallen tree and those colorful leaves are fantastic, Bill Because there's so much interest in the fallen trunks and the leaves, the branches touching the frame don't bother me in the slightest.

Really a striking image, Bill! Strong graphic lines and the light that intensifies the colors make this hard to ignore. Great as is, but I wonder what a lower angle might look like, showing us a bit more of what's just out of the frame on the bottom.

Wow, Bill, this really special. The texture of the wet fallen tree combined with the saturated carpet of leaves is killer. Like Dan, I could see this without the trunk on the right. But this is just outstanding!!!!!

Beautiful colours and as pointed out the saturation is just on the right side of believable. The picture is well constructed with decent foreground interest in terms of texture in the root, and you are transported through along the snag to the back.

Great autumn scene. The colors look a bit too saturated for my tastes, but that is very much a personal preference.

Bill, This is really an interesting comp and it works great! The light and combination of everything being wet really made the colors pop. It may be just a bit saturated but looks wonderful and inviting.

Man do I love cedar, and it looks amazing when a bit saturated. This image is gorgeous when it comes to color, texture, and shape Bill. A good eye to compose this scene so well. Very good work.

This is just superb in every respect, Bill. The downed tree makes for a great lead in to the scene and those fallen autumn leaves are just gorgeous.

This is gorgeous, Bill. I really like the strong line of the cedar, and how you balanced that strong line with the tree trunks on the right. The color is stunning, but after a rain under brightening overcast skies those colors simply glow. Exquisite.

Bill, even the thumbnail on this one is impressive. Lots of "natural" saturation from the rainfall intensifying things overall. A truly wonderful colorful scene.....
