Fall colors are mostly gone, but I found one nicely colored shrub creating some fine reflection abstracts at the North Tract of the Patuxent River National Wildlife Refuge. (5D3, 400mm f5.6, f/16, 1/80s, iso 800, tripod and polarizer)

About the most psychedelic reflection image I've ever seen. Straight from the 60's, man. Very cool.

I really like the painterly quality to this. Looks like brush strokes...

Far out man!

Seriously ... very appealing. I could see how this would make a nice print to fill a small niche in either of your homes.

I'd alternatively suggest a somewhat more intimate crop to eliminate the slightly less intense area along the bottom and right edges.

Well that's putting that 400mm to good use, Mark. Crazy abstract, love it.

Love all the psychedelic colors here, Mark. This is way cool. If mine I would crop out about the bottom third and print it huge !

Wow, that's one vibrant abstract Mark. Really nice details and motion in the large version. Very well seen. I might crop out that bottom corner with the different color. Great job. :toast:

There is a lot going on in this. While I like the color and lines it does seem a bit busy. I see that you shot this with a 400 mm focal length - I was going to recommend zooming in tighter but I guess you are about as tight as you can go short of an 800 mm lens.

I think this is one that would definitely work much better when viewed in a large print.

Wow is this tapestry cool. I see some snakes and a medicine man and a volcano erupting...fun image. Flip it any direction and I bet there are more things to see. Love it.
