Osprey in the trees

I took this last week at a local sandpit. The osprey had captured the catfish to my left, then circled around the trees to gain elevation. I captured it during this circle, as it flew down one of the paths through the trees. I know the bird isn't quite as sharp as I would like, but still not to bad. 7D2, ISO 400, 1/125, f/8, 300mm, roughly 50% crop. C&C always welcome and appreciated.

Good job just getting the bird in the frame -- my eyes keep going to the big hunk of brown grassy spot - I would liked to have been there but a bit too busy for me to hunt out the Osprey

Definitely a different Osprey photo. I think the bird is a bit lost in the leaves and branches, and my eye is drawn to the brown line of the top of the dike. The metal post in lower center is a bit of a distraction. But I applaud your willingness to experiment. Well seen and conceived.

Certainly is a different view of osprey. Do think it is a bit too small and the thin branches in front of the bird are a distraction. Would like to see the metal post out of the image. Still, a neat photo, glad you chose to share.

I really like the autumn leaves but the background is confusing with the oof tree trunk disappearing behind the hillside. I think cropping out the lower part of the image with the post would improve it some. 1/125 is very low for flight photography. :toast:
