The Parapet Bridge (WC)

This is the Parapet Bridge located in Mill Creek Metroparks, Youngstown, Ohio. This stone bridge was constructed over 100 years ago, shortly after the park was established in 1891. I think the fog gives this scene a European middle age look. Single image taken in 2011. Nikon d700, 24-70, 1/8, f18, iso 200. Comments, questions, and suggestions welcome. :wavey:

A nice moody scene. Lot of good elements here with the branches in the foreground, mid-ground fog and reflections, and background trees and bridge. :toast:

I bet this has been photographed a lot, and everyone else who shot it wishes they had done it in the fog, just like this. A wonderful example of how fog can add so much to a scene. Somehow the fog seems to make the fall leaves even more brilliant as it softens them. I like the way the foreground branches add an extra level of depth, making the softness from the fog even more effective.

The fog sure lets the fall colors sing here, Scott. It's a beautiful view. I also like the view through the branches as for me that adds to the feeling of mystery.

Great view Scott and your comp really makes the scene (along with the fog.) I might consider cropping down just a hair from the top to eliminate that single distracting yellow leaf... that would also eliminate the hottest whites and some branches that dip into the image just a bit before turning up. Just a thought but a beautiful depiction of fog on the water. :toast:

A lovely scene rich with fall colors and a great comp..
Made even better with this light veil of fog, it goes without saying:wink:
Very well done for all the aforementioned reasons :toast:

Absolutely gorgeous foggy autumn image, Scott. Really like how you have framed the bridge with the foreground branches.
