Texas Grackle

I found this Grackle while I was shooting ducks at a local pond. I liked this shot, as I don't usually see grackles in the water. Comments and critiques welcome. Processed using Photoshop CS3, NeatImage and LightZone.

Canon 7D Mark II
Canon 200-400 f4 L IS
f7.1
1/1600s
ISO 320
Focal Length 560mm (Teleconverter engaged)

I was anticipating some in flight shots, hence the settings that resulted in the fast shutter speed

Sweet portrait of this handsome grackle Jerry  I really like the flared tailed and the iridescent colors visible in the body plumage.

Nice Great-tailed, Jerry. My experience is that Great-tailed are pretty opportunistic, and will go wherever they can find food.

I really like this, Jerry. The contrast of the shimmering black bird and the shimmering blue water is striking and the details are nice and sharp. Normally I would suggest that bird be framed more to the right side but in this particular shot I think mostly centered actually works quite well. Nice shot.
