Berkeley Fall

I'm lucky to live very close to the University of California's Botanical Garden. This is in the Asian section, which is full of Japanese maples that give us some fall color here. They are usually at peak around Thanksgiving, and since they are in a botanical garden, they have been watered despite our drought.

Canon5d,m3, ISO1600 (handheld and shady), 55mm, 1/60sec.,f/16.

Comments and critiques appreciated.

A very pleasant location with great Fall colors, Kathy. Nicely composed also. About the only think I could suggest would be to brighten the whole scene a bit. It looks like there is plenty of room to increase the brightness (and contrast) without blowing out the highlights.

This has a peaceful quality with its zen like simplicity that appeals to me. I like your comp that further accentuates feeling of being centered. Well done. Chet

Looks like a wonderfully peaceful and contemplative spot, Kathy. The reflections and the variety of colors look great. The larger version starts to open up nicely, but I think both could stand to be a bit brighter. The repost is a big improvement!

Wonderful spot Kathy. Using the reflection is quite effective. I love the zen-like feel of Japanese gardens, and you've conveyed it very well here.
