The juxtapositioned autumn leaves, some floating, some submerged. together combine in beautiful harmony. this was taken in october..in a maple bush which had a small area that was flooded . but not deep enough to submerge the ferns. comments much appreciated. please see large version..

Nice and colourful Albert

I like it great colours. The bracken/fern looks to be slightly out of context both seasonally and locationaly as if it has been added to the collection, perhaps a little to the detriment of the composition.

I like the colors and composition of the image. I feels like a chilly fall day.

I like this look, Albert. There's a fine sprinkling of red and yellow leaves plus that green fern leaf. You've done a good job of isolating an interesting collection of leaves, with a nice emphasis in the center of the image. I think getting the whole frame sharp (or at least the bottom 2/3rds) would be an improvement.

You found a very effective composition for these lovely leaves, Albert. (Waterproof boots are indispensable, aren't they?) My only suggestion would be more more depth of field.

Love the combination of elements Albert. Interesting bokeh in this one. It lends a bit of creativity that I like, but obviously other opinions vary.

Albert, I like this collection of leaves and the story of an ending season and beginning of a new one. I think how you focused this at the center gives this an interesting look and kind of moody feel. It works for me telling that the autumn season is fading away.

Being one loves leaf patterns, I think this works nicely. The color is soft and muted, i.e. not overdone. I like the bracken, too.

Beautiful subtle colors and very nice comp. The shallow DOF works well to highlight the centerpiece, but I would be curious to see a version if you have it with a deep DOF.

beautiful colors and a nice scattering of leaves. The upper portion of this image is oof and I find that a bit distracting. More dof would make this one sing.

This is a lovely scene, especially the thumbnail. I was a bit disappointed to find that the lack of depth of field impacted the appeal to me at full size.
