This has a stark feel to me so hopefully not reflective of your Christmas :) The repeating branch shapes from top to bottom are very effective.

Preston, Merry Christmas to you and your family! I like this picture a lot and it especially looks good in the large version. I like this comp and for me it has a very nice feel. I sure hope I work it out to get here one of these days and I would love being there in the winter.

Hi Preston. Beautiful mood and depth in this image. I also like the mirrored look to the branches above and in the middle of the frame. The branch that goes across the middle is a bit disconcerting to me though as I feel it disrupts the continuity frpm front to back

Very interesting image, Preston. I don't think it was in 2014, is it?

This is a very strong composition, Preston, with that branch pointing directly at the viewer. The tree appears to be fencing, with one arm attacking and the other one, in the back, held high. It is certainly a composition that you cannot be indifferent to  I also like the beautiful filtered light on the snow.

And all the best wishes to you too!

You succeeded well in capturing a mood with this one! The mist and the slightly damaged tree in the foreground is a great combination. That must be a real beauty as a print....

A very happy year to you as well Preston,

This image work for because of the balance the branches bring to it, the details through out, and the bg fog with the trees expertly placed. A very striking image, and very nice work.

This is fantastic, Preston. The fleeting mist and the frost set the mood for this wonderful scene. I particularly like the details and textures in the large version I hope you had a nice Christmas and have a wonderful new year as well.

Wow, this is spectacular Preston! I'm just getting around to viewing NPN because of being so busy with Christmas, but viewing this is like getting another present! I hope your Christmas was wonderful.

Christmas Eve in Yosemite with some fresh snow. Well that's a nice gift for Christmas. The detail you captured here immediately stands out.
